Licensed Physical Therapist for Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center

Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist to join our orthopedic rehabilitation team in Fort Myers, Florida. This full-time position involves working onsite within a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center, where your primary mission will be to guide patients on their journey to recovery, enhancing their mobility and overall quality of life.

Our facility encompasses a spacious 5,000 square feet and is equipped with advanced technology in sports medicine, allowing us to cater primarily to patients with private medical insurance. We pride ourselves on our team-focused approach, which includes two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA) committed to providing exceptional care.

Work Environment

You will work in a collaborative and supportive environment where your contributions are valued. The center operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured schedule that allows you to balance your professional and personal life. Working onsite, you will have access to cutting-edge rehabilitation equipment and facilities that facilitate high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans based on the specific needs and goals of patients.
• Maintain an optimal patient load of one patient per hour to ensure quality care and individualized attention.
• Implement evidence-based treatment techniques and interventions, focusing on restoring motion and enhancing mobility.
• Engage patients through personalized care plans, which may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and innovative rehabilitation modalities.
• Explore non-pharmacological treatment options and minimize reliance on medications whenever possible.
• Motivate patients throughout their journey, promoting a positive attitude towards their rehabilitation.
• Document patient progress meticulously, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and adjust care plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
• Collaborate closely with other professionals in the healthcare team to coordinate comprehensive care and share insights regarding each patient's progress.
• Educate patients regarding injury prevention and healthy lifestyle choices to enhance long-term wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with patients in need of orthopedic rehabilitation following injuries or surgeries. Our clientele consists mainly of individuals covered by private medical insurance, including athletes, professionals, and active individuals seeking rehabilitation to return to their daily activities or sports. Your expertise will play a crucial role in their recovery process, ensuring they regain strength, flexibility, and confidence.

Qualifications

• A completed Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar orthopedic outpatient care environment.
• No disciplinary actions or board measures on record related to your professional licensure.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and skilled in designing effective exercise programs tailored to individual needs.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

While at least two years of experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is a minimum requirement, candidates with experience in sports therapy and post-operative rehabilitation are encouraged to apply. Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
