Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's unique trauma history and formulate suitable treatment plans that cater to their specific needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies with a strong focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building, utilizing approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through the healing process by helping them develop coping strategies and facilitating their emotional expression.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and professional peers to ensure seamless, integrated care for each patient, enhancing their overall treatment experience.
• Provide crisis intervention as necessary, ensuring that patients have immediate access to support during trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate patients and their family members about trauma responses and equip them with knowledge about available coping mechanisms and resources.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards, while also participating in ongoing case consultations and team meetings.
• Engage in continuous professional development activities to remain abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary clientele will consist of individuals from diverse backgrounds affected by trauma, PTSD, and related disorders. We emphasize the importance of forming trusting relationships with our clients, empowering them to recognize their strengths as they work through their individual challenges. The flexible telehealth format allows us to reach populations who may not have access to in-person services, fostering inclusivity in mental health support.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, particularly in settings focused on trauma-informed care.
• Thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment modalities specific to trauma.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other technology tools to streamline patient management.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills with a focus on compassionate communication, as well as the ability to remain composed in high-stress scenarios.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
