Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your daily tasks will include:

• Managing a caseload of clients, establishing trusting relationships, and maintaining professional ethics and boundaries throughout the therapeutic process.

• Conducting regular meetings with clients to monitor their progress, discuss stability, and determine the necessity for discharge planning.

• Developing, implementing, and closely monitoring individualized, person-centered treatment plans that are tailored to each client's unique needs.

• Maintaining up-to-date clinical documentation and progress notes in compliance with clinic policies and legal requirements.

• Conducting comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate new clients and assess their mental health needs.

• Facilitating individual therapy sessions, with a focus on evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.

• Participating in individual supervision sessions to enhance clinical skills and foster professional development.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure integrated care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on youth in need of mental health support, addressing challenges such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, you must possess the following credentials and skills:

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut.

• At least one year of professional experience working with psychiatric patients and/or those with substance abuse issues.

• Experience in assessment, diagnosis, and providing both individual and group therapy.
