Work Environment

This full-time position requires a commitment to onsite work within our modern rehabilitation facility located in Fairfax, Virginia. You will be working closely with a small, dedicated team comprising two physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), ensuring that personalized patient care remains at the forefront of our mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their specific goals and improvement needs.
• Manage a manageable caseload, typically seeing one patient per hour, which allows for focused, individualized attention.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques in treatment sessions, emphasizing cost-effective methods to enhance mobility and reduce the need for medications or surgical interventions.
• Design and implement rehabilitation protocols tailored to each patient's unique condition, including progressive fitness and wellness programs.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously and adjust care plans as necessary, ensuring consistent communication with patients regarding their outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment details thoroughly in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, particularly WebPT.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to devise comprehensive care strategies that support varied health conditions.
• Motivate and educate patients on lifestyle modifications that promote long-term health and wellness, focusing on strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Physical Therapist at Balanced Bodies Wellness Center will involve working with a diverse range of patients, primarily adults recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Our patient-centered model encourages strong therapist-patient relationships, allowing for open communication about recovery expectations and enabling you to inspire confidence in their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist is required.
• Your professional history should exhibit an untouched record, free of disciplinary actions or board complaints.
• Strong skills in manual therapy techniques are necessary for effectively addressing patients' mobility concerns.
• Excellent aptitude for developing and executing tailored exercise protocols that cater to individual patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience utilizing EMR systems, specifically WebPT or similar software, to manage patient documentation and records seamlessly.
• Prior experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable, allowing you to hit the ground running.
