Work Environment

The work environment at Bodywise Physical Therapy is supportive and collaborative, emphasizing communication among health professionals to create comprehensive care pathways for our patients. You will work in the diverse and dynamic setting of home care, which allows for personalized therapy programs and direct engagement with patients in their own environments. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical conditions through in-depth evaluations to identify individual goals and needs.
• Design and implement tailored care plans utilizing a variety of treatment techniques, including exercise prescriptions, manual therapy, and patient education.
• Monitor the progress of patients and adapt treatment strategies as necessary to promote optimal recovery and functionality.
• Motivate and educate patients about continuing their rehabilitation outside of therapy sessions, including creating fitness and wellness-oriented programs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Document patient progress meticulously and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily focus on patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries and orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements, fractures, and sports injuries. Your expertise will help patients regain strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination, addressing not only physical needs but also their emotional well-being through encouragement and support.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Must hold a valid and active state license as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is required; candidates with extensive experience will be preferred.
• Strong background in patient assessments, treatment planning, and direct patient care, especially involving musculoskeletal conditions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in home healthcare settings is highly desirable, as it requires adaptability and creativity in treatment approaches.
• Proficient communication skills that facilitate productive interactions with diverse patient populations, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to motivate and manage patients with varying personalities, ensuring a positive treatment experience.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonuses. Additional benefits include:
