Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing therapy sessions to individuals, couples, and families. Specifically, you will:

• Conduct intake assessments and develop personalized treatment plans based on identified needs.
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions focusing on various issues, such as grief and loss, family conflicts, job stress, and addiction struggles.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family systems therapy.
• Collaborate with community resources and support systems to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Document patient progress in compliance with clinical standards and regulations.
• Continuously engage in professional development and team meetings to share insights and improve therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on serving adults and children/adolescents facing a range of mental health challenges. You will specialize in treating the family unit as a whole, addressing relational dynamics and individual trauma. Common issues you will encounter include:

• Alcohol abuse and addictions.
• Relational conflicts, such as those between siblings or conflicts among parents.
• Challenging transitions, such as separation, divorce, and blending families.
• Grief and loss, helping individuals and families navigate these profound experiences.
• Adjustment issues related to major life changes and medical conditions.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.
• An active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to clinical excellence.
• An ability to work with diverse populations and adapt therapeutic approaches to meet various needs.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following backgrounds will be given preference:

• Experience in a community health or telehealth setting.

Compensation and Benefits
