Work Environment

The role is based in our outpatient office located in Mamaroneck, NY. You will work onsite alongside a team of healthcare professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment. The typical work schedule runs from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening clinics extending until 8:00 p.m., and participation in community outreach events during weekends may be required. On average, you will contribute approximately 40 hours per week to our mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments and screenings for diverse patients, tailoring your approach to meet their individual health needs.
• Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions, incorporating preventive care and health promotion strategies into every patient interaction.
• Work in partnership with community organizations to develop and implement effective health education programs that enhance community awareness and engagement.
• Deliver culturally competent care while actively advocating for patients' rights and improving access to essential healthcare services.
• Coordinate referrals and ensure follow-up care, meticulously tracking patient progress to guarantee continuity of treatment.
• Maintain accurate and compliant medical records, adhering to established regulatory standards and best practices in documentation.
• Engage actively in community events and health fairs, providing screenings and raising awareness about critical health issues.
• Stay informed of community health trends and evidence-based practices, integrating relevant policies into your daily practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on serving children and families within the Mamaroneck area. As part of a community-centric approach, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes underserved individuals who may face barriers to accessing quality healthcare. Qualifications

• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Active New York State nursing license with no restrictions.
• A Master's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• At least three years of clinical experience, particularly in community health or public health settings.
• Proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with diverse patient populations.
• A demonstrated commitment to social justice and health equity, with a passion for advocating for vulnerable communities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a pediatric setting or with families.

Compensation and Benefits

Pedi Joy Nurse Specialists offers a competitive salary range of $180,000 to $200,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
