Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history and identify tailored treatment approaches that align with their specific needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective healing outcomes.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to guide patients in processing their trauma experiences, developing coping strategies, and promoting healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for your patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, responding adeptly to patients' immediate needs.

• Engage with patients and their families by educating them about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources to foster an informed support system.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans, adhering to all relevant legal and ethical healthcare standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with diverse individuals who have faced significant trauma, including veterans, survivors of abuse, and people with complex trauma histories. Understanding the unique perspectives and needs of each patient is essential to creating effective treatment plans that foster healing and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach towards clients.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document case notes and maintain patient confidentiality.

Preferred Experience\n
