Work Environment

As a team member supporting a detox center, you will collaborate closely with fellow mental health professionals and medical providers to ensure an integrated care approach. You will participate in regular virtual team meetings and case discussions to foster professional development and enhance patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize comprehensive knowledge and skills to develop accurate psychosocial diagnoses for patients based on clinical assessments and interaction.
• Create individualized treatment strategies that address specific client needs, using evidence-based approaches such as solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral activation.
• Monitor client progress through structured evaluations and adjust treatment plans accordingly, ensuring adherence to set goals, whether meetings occur in-person or via telehealth.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, which may include psychologists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare providers, to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans that support holistic patient care.
• Assist with the administration of psychotropic medications, liaising with medical professionals to monitor patient adherence and side effects, while ensuring the efficacy of treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LCSW will primarily work with individuals experiencing substance use disorders and mental health challenges in a detox setting. This vulnerable population requires specialized attention, and the ability to build trust and rapport is vital to their recovery process. You will be essential in providing empathetic support and guidance, empowering clients through their detox journey to achieve better mental health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Candidates must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working as an independently licensed therapist is essential, with demonstrated competence in mental health practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in substance abuse treatment or mental health recovery settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the specific challenges and therapeutic interventions related to detox and addiction recovery can enhance effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, with potential for performance-based bonuses.
