Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Facilitate effective communication among supervisors, support staff, family members, and other stakeholders to update regarding an individual’s progress.
• Document treatment plans and client interactions meticulously, including appointments, home visits, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Perform home visits to conduct observational assessments, chart reviews, and staff interviews to evaluate therapeutic progress.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights and collaborating with fellow clinicians to optimize client care.
• Conduct training sessions for team members, enhancing their skills in executing treatment programs effectively and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Follow up with clients through interviews and home visits to ensure ongoing needs are met and to adapt plans as necessary.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date client records, guaranteeing that pertinent information is readily accessible.
• Support development goals by serving as a liaison with community resources and mental health networks.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your counseling expertise will support a varied clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a range of mental health challenges—from trauma and substance abuse to relationship dilemmas. Understanding the unique cultural and socio-economic contexts of patients in Houston will enhance your ability to provide meaningful support.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• Possession of an active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
• A minimum of two years' experience in counseling, particularly in clinical settings, is essential.
• Expertise in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma recovery, or substance use disorders will be highly favored.
• A thorough understanding of mental health laws and ethical practice standards.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an aptitude for building rapport with a diverse array of clients.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating a commitment to integrated care approaches.
• Competence in utilizing EMR software and related technologies for documentation and client management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in community mental health settings.
• Proficiency in teletherapy and virtual counseling platforms.
• Background in developing psychoeducational workshops and community outreach.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload. Additional benefits include:
