Work Environment

This position will be fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while engaging with clients through virtual platforms. The telehealth setting is designed to not only make treatment more accessible but also to create a relaxed atmosphere where clients can comfortably discuss their concerns. You will utilize secure electronic medical record (EMR) software, enabling you to keep accurate records and document sessions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough intake assessments to identify client needs and formulate effective treatment plans tailored to their individual circumstances.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy to support clients in achieving their goals.
• Monitor client progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting therapeutic interventions as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain detailed and current clinical documentation in compliance with legal standards and ethical guidelines.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with healthcare teams to provide holistic care for each client, facilitating referrals when needed.
• Participate in ongoing professional development workshops to remain informed about the latest advancements in mental health practices and research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LPC will serve a diverse range of clients in various stages of their mental health journeys, including individuals, couples, families, and groups. Our clientele often presents with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Understanding societal factors that influence client experiences is paramount, as it informs the therapeutic strategies that will be employed.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of three years of professional counseling experience, particularly in a clinical setting, is essential.
• Working knowledge of legal and ethical standards related to mental health practice.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with a diverse clientele.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a healthcare team to ensure comprehensive client care.
• Familiarity with EMR software and telehealth technologies is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma-informed care is highly valued.
• Experience in utilizing various therapeutic modalities tailored to client needs will set candidates apart.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 90,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and caseload availability. In addition to salary, St Monica Behavioral Health provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
