Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, including psychosocial assessments, risk evaluations, and diagnostic interviews, to understand each student’s unique needs.
• Work collaboratively with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their individual goals, cultural contexts, and therapeutic needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) in various settings such as individual and group sessions.
• Offer crisis intervention services, ensuring that students in acute distress receive timely and effective support while collaborating with other healthcare professionals for continued care.
• Maintain precise clinical documentation in line with regulatory requirements and clinic policies, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries that track client progress and treatment outcomes.
• Deliver psychoeducation to students and their families, empowering them with strategies and tools to manage mental health challenges effectively.
• Regularly evaluate therapeutic outcomes through routine assessments, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to enhance effectiveness.
• Stay informed about the latest research and emerging trends in the field of mental health to ensure the highest standard of care is delivered.
• Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines and protect patient confidentiality at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse population of students facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. By providing culturally competent care, you will play a vital role in supporting these young individuals as they navigate their emotional and social complexities in an often-stressful academic environment.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• An active State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is essential.
