Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and establish appropriate treatment goals.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, tailoring therapeutic interventions to facilitate trauma recovery and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patient healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on trauma processing, coping strategy development, and overall emotional well-being.

• Engage in collaborative care by working closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention services during emergency situations related to trauma.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to support their recovery journey.

• Maintain detailed and accurate patient documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality.

• Participate in team consultations, multifaceted meetings, and ongoing professional development activities aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to improve treatment modalities and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, neglect, and other adverse life experiences. Our patients are at various stages of their healing journey, requiring a therapist who is not only skilled but also understands the complexities of trauma and its profound impact on emotional and psychological well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, particularly dealing with trauma-focused therapies.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed care, and resilience-building strategies.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to therapy, with an ability to build rapport with a diverse patient population.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient information efficiently.

• Adaptability to work within a multidisciplinary team setting, demonstrating collaboration and flexibility.

Compensation and Benefits\n
