Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to deliver therapy from the comfort of your home while maintaining full support from our outpatient office environment in Houston, Texas. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, using structured methodologies to formulate accurate clinical diagnoses and tailored treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions that incorporate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other modalities suited to the client’s needs and preferences.
• Provide crisis intervention services for clients facing acute mental health emergencies, helping them develop immediate coping strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential client records, including notes on treatment progress and assessments that adhere to ethical and legal standards.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams comprising psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, guiding them through the treatment options and community resources available to them.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of best practices in therapy and evolving mental health trends.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population, addressing a wide range of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, trauma, and more. Your work will involve fostering resilience and providing a safe space for clients to explore their emotions, set goals, and develop strategies for overcoming their personal challenges.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) is essential.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• A minimum of one year of related experience in a clinical setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively.
• Ability to independently manage a diverse caseload while being an integral part of a collaborative team.
• A strong commitment to ethical practices and maintaining professional standards in psychology and counseling.

Preferred Experience

While one year of direct experience is required, candidates with additional experience in therapy within clinical settings will stand out. Experience in teletherapy platforms or remote counseling is highly valued as we continue to adapt to a digitally-forward service model.
