The Embrace Life Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist who specializes in providing care for individuals impacted by trauma. This full-time, remote position allows you to work within a telehealth framework, ensuring that your expertise directly contributes to the recovery and resilience of clients facing diverse mental health challenges.

Work Environment

This role will be executed entirely via telehealth, providing flexibility in your day-to-day life while ensuring that you're equipped with the tools to deliver effective mental health services remotely. The work schedule is primarily Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient needs. You will engage with clients through various digital platforms, enabling you to create meaningful therapeutic relationships in a virtual setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to identify patients' trauma history, establish their unique needs, and tailor appropriate treatment approaches.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the enhancement of overall mental well-being.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate both individual therapy and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing their trauma, developing coping strategies, and fostering healing and growth.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other professionals within the organization to provide integrated and holistic care for patients.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients feel supported in stressful situations.
• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, effective coping techniques, and available community resources.
• Maintain accurate and secure documentation of client interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities that are centered on trauma-informed care principles.
• Stay current with emerging research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance the quality of care provided to clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with individuals who have survived trauma and are experiencing the effects of PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. This role is especially suited for professionals passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of those navigating the challenges of trauma recovery.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical mental health setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building approaches.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an empathetic approach towards clients.
• The ability to stay calm and composed in high-stress situations, providing patient-centered care.
• Proficiency in using EHR systems and other relevant computer applications to enhance the efficiency of service delivery.
• A collaborative mindset, eager to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for clients.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of experience is required, individuals with additional experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies or who have worked extensively within trauma-informed care organizations will be favored. Candidates with specialized training in EMDR or TF-CBT will especially find alignment with our mission.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
