The Mind and Behaviour Counseling Center is actively seeking a Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor who will be instrumental in delivering compassionate and effective therapy services to a diverse clientele. This position offers a fully remote work setting, allowing you to provide services from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a flexible schedule. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments utilizing standardized tools to evaluate clients' mental health conditions and emotional well-being, ensuring the identification of immediate and long-term needs.
• Develop, document, and implement tailored treatment plans that reflect each client’s unique goals and circumstances, enhancing their journey towards recovery.
• Deliver evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed approaches, in individual, family, and group formats.
• Regularly monitor clients' progress, employing tools and metrics to track improvements and making adjustments to treatment strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and ongoing support to clients experiencing acute distress, coordinating referrals and resources as needed.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential electronic client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans that address all aspects of clients' health.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in mental health practices through continual professional development and training opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a varied patient demographic, including adolescents, adults, and families facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our clients often seek support in a time of need, and the therapist will play a pivotal role in guiding them through their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) is required to practice.
• Demonstrated strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to accurately identify mental health disorders.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster rapport with clients and enhance therapeutic relationships.
• A deep sense of empathy and compassion for clients, with a commitment to prioritizing their well-being and progress.
• Capacity to function both independently and collaboratively within a diverse team framework.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years’ experience in a clinical mental health setting, providing therapy and counseling related to diverse mental health issues.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms to enhance service delivery.
