Independence Therapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time position is focused on delivering exceptional mental health services primarily through a telehealth platform, enabling us to reach and support clients in a convenient and effective manner.

Work Environment

This role is predominantly remote, further facilitated by our telehealth services, which allow for flexible scheduling and access to therapy from the comfort of clients' homes. However, you will be part of a close-knit and collaborative team of professionals dedicated to making a meaningful impact on mental health. Our operational hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some degree of schedule flexibility based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories, strengths, and challenges.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Utilize therapeutic frameworks like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate patient healing and growth.
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.
• Provide crisis intervention and hands-on support during trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping strategies, ensuring they are empowered throughout their recovery journey.
• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in professional development and case consultations to enhance your skills and keep abreast of best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus is on serving clients impacted by different forms of trauma. This includes individuals suffering from complex trauma, PTSD, and dissociative disorders. Your role will center on fostering resilient and sustainable recovery among these vulnerable populations, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet each client's unique needs.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed care.
• Deep knowledge of trauma-related disorders and a demonstrated ability to apply trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that promote a compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic alliance with clients.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital communication platforms for telehealth delivery.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to the financial compensation, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
