Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial patient assessments to identify mental and emotional health needs, followed by developing personalized treatment plans to address those needs effectively.

• Facilitate regular sessions with patients to listen actively to their concerns while providing empathy and support.

• Utilize evidence-based practices to diagnose mental and emotional disorders accurately, and create actionable coping strategies for ongoing management.

• Track and monitor patient progress through consistent evaluation and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Educate patients and their families about stress management techniques and coping mechanisms related to trauma, aiming for enhanced understanding and empowerment.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes medical professionals and community outreach programs to ensure comprehensive patient care.

• Engage in continuous professional development by completing relevant courses, ensuring certification is current and that knowledge of best practices remains updated.

• Contribute to organizational efforts by advocating for enhanced access and support systems for trauma patients, based on observed community needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily engage with trauma injury patients who face a variety of mental health challenges stemming from their experiences. This role is focused on guiding patients through their emotional and psychological difficulties, providing them with tailored coping mechanisms and resources to help them reclaim their lives.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling is required.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification is essential.

• A minimum of three years of experience working specifically with trauma patients is mandatory.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required for day-to-day documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits\n
