Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of new patients, identifying their unique goals and physical challenges to tailor individualized treatment plans.
• Effectively manage a patient caseload, averaging one patient per hour, allowing for personalized attention and quality care.
• Utilize a combination of manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and evidence-based practices to facilitate rehabilitation.
• Design and implement customized exercise protocols that are not only effective but also ensure patient safety and engagement.
• Monitor patient progress through regular assessments and documentation, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as required.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians and specialists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment journey, helping them achieve their mobility and rehabilitation goals.
• Document all patient care services meticulously in compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse patient population seeking orthopedic rehabilitation. Patients may range from post-operative individuals recovering from surgeries like knee or hip replacements to individuals dealing with chronic conditions such as arthritis or sports injuries. You will play a key role in restoring their function and improving their quality of life through customized therapy plans.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Strong clinical knowledge and proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with patients and interdisciplinary team members.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working specifically within orthopedic outpatient settings is preferred.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems, with particular experience using WebPT being a strong advantage.
• A demonstrated commitment to continued professional development and education.

Compensation and Benefits

Balanced Bodies Wellness Center offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
