Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each client’s unique history and circumstances, tailoring treatment plans accordingly.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building, integrating evidence-based practices.

• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in processing trauma and developing effective coping strategies.

• Coordinate care with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive treatment and support for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention for clients in urgent need, offering immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, strategies for coping, and community resources available for additional support.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate client records.

• Engage in regular case consultations, interdisciplinary team meetings, and continued education focused on trauma-informed care best practices.

• Stay informed of the latest research and therapeutic practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to work with clients who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be instrumental in providing tailored mental health care strategies aimed at supporting these vulnerable populations and assisting them on their path to recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas is mandatory.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, indicating familiarity and competence in the field.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed therapeutic modalities is essential to adequately serve our clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
