This remote, full-time position requires an individual with a strong commitment to trauma-informed care. You will be instrumental in providing specialized support and treatment for individuals dealing with the profound effects of trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

Work Environment\n

This remote therapy position allows for a flexible working arrangement as part of a dynamic and supportive team. You will primarily engage with clients through teletherapy sessions, while also participating in regular virtual team meetings and case consultations. While the majority of your work will be remote, you may have occasional opportunities for in-office collaboration with colleagues, fostering team cohesion and professional development.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories, utilizing standardized assessment tools to inform individualized treatment planning.

• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, including specific methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma and build effective coping strategies, promoting psychological well-being and resilience.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for patients, adapting treatment approaches based on interdisciplinary feedback.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, equipping patients with tools and resources to manage acute situations.
\n
• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to facilitate understanding and engagement in the healing process.

• Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential documentation in compliance with the organization’s legal, ethical, and professional standards, leveraging electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient case management.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will serve primarily include adults and adolescents grappling with various trauma-related disorders. Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver trauma-focused therapies—experience in EMDR and TF-CBT is highly valued.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong capability to provide compassionate and non-judgmental support.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.

• A collaborative mindset for working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling or therapy.

• Direct experience working with trauma survivors and familiarity with resilience-building strategies deployed within therapeutic settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
