Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments that meticulously evaluate the severity and continuity of mood disorder symptoms, crafting tailored treatment strategies that directly address clients' unique situations.

• Collaborate with clients to co-create individualized treatment plans catering to their specific goals, preferences, and needs, ensuring client engagement and ownership of their recovery journey.

• Implement evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), effectively addressing mood disorders and fostering healthier coping mechanisms.

• Provide continual education to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment pathways, and self-care strategies, enabling them to participate actively in the therapeutic process.

• Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, utilizing measurable outcomes and client feedback to ensure adaptive and responsive care.

• Actively engage in collaborative care by liaising with psychiatrists and other medical professionals, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient well-being.

• Stay informed about the latest research and trends in mood disorder treatment to continuously enhance therapeutic interventions.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans per legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in professional development activities including case consultations and team meetings aimed at refining clinical skills and best practices.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, promoting understanding and de-stigmatization of mood disorders within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically targets clients dealing with mood disorders, including varying severities of depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our diverse client population encompasses individuals of different ages and backgrounds, each with unique challenges and strengths. As a Clinical Mental Health Therapist, you will work closely with these individuals, guiding them through their emotional struggles and helping them navigate their path towards a healthier mental state.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, including CBT and DBT.

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology for effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with a diverse client base.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders is preferred. Successful candidates will have a proven track record in delivering positive outcomes for clients facing these challenges.
