Work Environment

The physical therapy team operates in a modern rehabilitation facility equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and technology. Our operating hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, allow for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist with Ortho Check, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities that directly impact patient rehabilitation:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, diseases, or surgeries to establish accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic methods, including exercise protocols, stretching techniques, and hands-on manipulation, to alleviate pain and restore mobility.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that outline specific goals and recovery milestones for each patient.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive care by recommending assistive devices and training patients and their families on their use.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in workshops, reviewing literature, and networking with peers to stay informed on best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working closely with a diverse clientele, ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients, who require rehabilitation services. You will address a variety of conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain management, ensuring that each patient receives targeted interventions based on their unique circumstances.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet several qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in physical therapy.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficiency in word processing and computer skills, including familiarity with electronic health record systems.
