Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient’s unique trauma history and determine the most effective treatment strategies.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental well-being.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide patients on their healing journeys.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating an open space for clients to process their trauma and learn coping skills.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available mental health resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation that complies with state and federal legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Engage in ongoing professional development through case consultations and staying current with the latest research in trauma therapies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will serve primarily include individuals who are navigating the repercussions of trauma. Our clientele may include adults, adolescents, and families facing issues related to PTSD, complex trauma, and other trauma-related disorders. You will play a vital role in supporting these individuals on their paths to recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, specifically working with trauma-affected populations.

• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles and experience with trauma-focused therapeutic approaches.

• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills that foster therapeutic alliances with clients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and the ability to navigate various computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
