Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments, utilizing best practices to understand each patient's trauma history and unique needs.

• Craft and implement individualized treatment plans that target trauma recovery, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for patients to process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and work toward healing.

• Engage in collaboration with psychiatrists and other health professionals within our clinic to ensure a cohesive and integrated treatment approach.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention as necessary, assisting patients during trauma-related emergencies while maintaining a calm demeanor.

• Offer educational guidance to patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, ensuring they feel informed and empowered.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in accordance with industry regulations and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will work primarily with adults facing challenges related to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patient population is diverse and may include individuals from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, requiring therapists to exhibit cultural competence and sensitivity in their approaches.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid mental health licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on trauma-informed care.

• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed interventions.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and their families.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits\n
