Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand the trauma histories of patients and to inform treatment planning.

• Develop customized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience, using an evidence-based approach.

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions that facilitate emotional processing, coping strategy development, and healing.
\n
• Utilize specific therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to provide effective interventions.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure holistic and integrated patient care.

• Respond to crisis situations with strong intervention skills, providing immediate support to patients in trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, healthy coping mechanisms, and resources available to them.

• Maintain accurate, secure, and confidential records that comply with all legal and ethical standards relevant to mental health practice.

• Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay current with research and advancements in trauma therapy to provide the best possible care to your patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will provide therapeutic support to individuals from various backgrounds, each with unique experiences and healing journeys. Your role is pivotal in helping these individuals not only manage their symptoms but also rebuild their lives through effective coping strategies and resilience-building practices.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, complemented by a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor.

• Competence in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

• A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a therapeutic setting, especially working with trauma survivors.

• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies, particularly EMDR and TF-CBT.

Compensation and Benefits\n
