Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while connecting with clients and colleagues through virtual platforms. Our organization is based in Joliet, Illinois, but we serve a diverse range of clients across various locations. Enjoy the flexibility of a schedule that accommodates your lifestyle, with business hours from 7 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at Navigate Family & Youth Therapy Services, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories and determine appropriate treatment strategies.
• Developing personalized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience-building techniques tailored to individual client needs.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
• Leading individual and group therapy sessions to provide clients with coping strategies and assistance in processing their traumas.
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for patients with complex needs.
• Offering crisis intervention and support to clients during trauma-related emergencies, reinforcing their sense of safety and security.
• Educating clients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms to promote awareness and self-advocacy.
• Maintaining diligent and accurate case documentation in compliance with relevant legal and ethical standards, utilizing an electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Actively participating in case consultations and professional development initiatives to continuously enhance your expertise in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on individuals and families affected by trauma, ranging from children and adolescents to adults. You will have the unique opportunity to support diverse client backgrounds, each with varying experiences and needs. As a Behavioral Health Generalist, you will also work with couples, for which training will be provided, ensuring that you are equipped to offer holistic care to all clients.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Valid and current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) within the state of Illinois.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to client care.
• Proficiency in managing electronic health records (EHR) and common computer applications required for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

While two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we appreciate the value of diverse experiences. Ideal candidates will possess:
