Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s background, trauma history, and mental health status, guiding diagnostic and treatment recommendations.

• Utilize evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to design individualized therapy plans that address specific recovery goals.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that effectively promote healing, coping strategy development, and support systems.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care approaches, ensuring well-rounded support for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing your expertise to de-escalate situations and provide necessary resources.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma symptoms, coping mechanisms, and community resources to foster understanding and empowerment in their healing process.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards, utilizing efficient electronic health record systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work predominantly with adults and adolescents who are grappling with the effects of trauma. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.

• Current and valid licensure (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) in the state of Arizona.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed mental health counselor, with a focus on trauma-related disorders preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
