Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments to gather patients' trauma histories and effectively guide the development of treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment strategies that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience, drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities.

• Utilize evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to provide the highest level of care.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process their trauma, establish coping mechanisms, and encourage healing through shared experiences.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for each patient.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies to support patients in acute distress.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, practical coping strategies, and available resources, fostering a deeper understanding of the healing process.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to the ongoing development of trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay updated with the latest research and developments in trauma therapy to continuously enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on patients who are survivors of trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By leveraging a trauma-informed approach, you will assist individuals in processing their experiences, fostering resilience, and moving towards recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid state license as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT.
\n
• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, preferably focusing on trauma recovery.
\n
• Thorough knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities.
\n
• Proficiency in providing trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, empathetic approach to patient care.

• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

• Capability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with proven experience in trauma-focused therapies and a solid background in resilience-building approaches will be preferred, enhancing the quality of care provided to our patients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
