Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of remote work while maintaining regular contact with our outpatient office in Worcester. Our remote setting encourages a balanced work-life dynamic while providing you with the tools and resources needed to support your clients effectively. Adhering to our scheduled hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, you will have the opportunity to work within a structure that fosters collaboration and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct crisis assessments and interventions for clients experiencing immediate mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and appropriate support.
• Implement effective crisis intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations and ensure client safety.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response personnel when necessary to provide comprehensive support during crises.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, establishing individualized treatment plans that address their specific needs.
• Provide follow-up care and recommendations for ongoing support, ensuring that clients transition smoothly through their recovery journeys.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance your crisis counseling skills and stay current with best practices in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients comprise a diverse range of individuals dealing with various mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and addiction. You will particularly focus on elderly clients, providing specialized counseling and strategies to support their unique circumstances, including age-related mental health issues. Your ability to connect and empathize with clients will be crucial in delivering effective care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.
• A minimum of 3 years of recent experience providing mental health support.
• Demonstrated training or specialization in geriatric mental health and aging-related issues.
• Experience in counseling elderly individuals with a variety of mental health challenges is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in trauma-informed care and the treatment of mood disorders.
• Experience delivering individual and group therapy sessions tailored to specific patient needs.
• Skills in using electronic health record systems for efficient documentation and case management.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
