Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individualized therapy sessions, group interventions, and family dynamics counseling using telehealth platforms to connect with clients in real-time.
• Perform thorough diagnostic assessments to understand each client's unique situation and develop evidence-based treatment plans that align with their personal recovery goals.
• Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary team that may include psychiatrists, social workers, and educational professionals to coordinate comprehensive care and share insights on client progress.
• Maintain meticulous electronic health records (EHR) to document client interactions, treatment plans, and progress in a compliant manner, ensuring confidentiality and data security.
• Engage in clinical supervision and ongoing education opportunities to stay abreast of the latest developments in mental health counseling practices.
• Respond to crises by providing immediate interventions and risk assessments to ensure client safety when high-stress situations arise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clientele at A Better Way Psychotherapy Center encompasses diverse populations experiencing various mental health conditions, including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and relationship challenges. Your role as an LMHC will involve creating a safe space for clients to express their feelings and experiences, working collectively towards healing and growth.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field is essential for this position.
• Hold a valid license as a mental health counselor in Massachusetts.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience providing counseling services to clients in individual and group settings.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster positive client relationships and promote effective collaboration with team members.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage case documentation, scheduling, and follow-ups efficiently.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and proficient use of telehealth technologies for seamless client interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with specific populations, such as adolescents or individuals in recovery from substance abuse, is desirable.
• Skilled in using therapeutic techniques tailored to various mental health issues, with an emphasis on trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
