High Focus Counseling, LLC is actively seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional mental health support to individuals affected by trauma. This full-time remote position allows for flexibility and emphasizes your expertise in trauma-informed care in a telehealth environment.

Work Environment

This position offers a fully remote work environment utilizing telehealth technologies to reach patients in their own homes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments, taking into account each patient's unique history and experiences to identify tailored treatment approaches.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting trauma recovery and resilience-building, utilizing therapeutic modalities suited to each patient's needs.
• Deliver appropriate evidence-based interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on helping clients process sadness and anxiety, developing coping strategies while promoting overall mental wellness.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, coordinating treatment plans effectively.
• Provide support and crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that clients have the resources they need during difficult moments.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, fostering an understanding of the recovery process and available resources.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing to our collective expertise in trauma-informed care.
• Stay informed about current research and advances in the field of trauma therapy to ensure best practices are implemented in your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing various forms of trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and other related disorders. This population often requires sensitive engagement and a deep understanding of trauma's pervasive effects on mental health. Your role will significantly influence their journey to recovery, helping them develop resilience and find empowerment in their story.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Massachusetts.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred.
• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed practices, along with proficiency in delivering trauma-focused therapies.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to client interactions.
• The ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations is crucial for crisis management.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth applications.
• Capability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team, contributing to collaborative patient care strategies.

Preferred Experience

Experience in utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities and interventions, specifically in addressing trauma, is highly valued. Familiarity with electronic documentation procedures and a commitment to maintaining updated knowledge in trauma therapy will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
