Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, documenting case details from initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.
• Develop and implement individualized recovery and intervention plans for a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques tailored to the needs of the participants.
• Regularly monitor and assess client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, primary care providers, and community resources to coordinate holistic care for clients.
• Conduct follow-ups with psychiatrists for clients who require hospitalization or more intensive therapeutic support.
• Identify potential challenges that may impede recovery and provide strategies for both clients and their families to overcome these obstacles.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population is diverse, ranging from children and adolescents to adults and families facing various mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use disorders. We are particularly committed to serving underserved populations, ensuring that all community members have access to effective mental health care and support. Your role will actively contribute to improving mental health outcomes within the community.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, paired with exceptional interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating comfort in conducting individual and group therapy.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or similar platforms.
• Background in managing clients with co-occurring physical and emotional health issues, including addiction disorders.
• Knowledge of best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Understanding the effects of psychotropic medications prescribed by medical professionals.

Compensation and Benefits
