Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient facility in the vibrant city of Orlando, known for its warm weather and welcoming atmosphere. As a physical therapist, you will enjoy a full-time role with 40 scheduled hours per week. Weekend shifts may vary, providing you with a dynamic work schedule. Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed patient examinations and evaluations to understand their functional limitations.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment and discharge plans based on best practices and individual patient needs.
• Engage with patients and their families, incorporating their feedback and preferences into treatment strategies.
• Document all interactions, evaluation findings, and treatment plans accurately in compliance with laws and regulations.
• Consult with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure a seamless continuum of patient care.
• Supervise and guide support staff, including physical therapy assistants, aides, and students, while managing departmental resources effectively.
• Participate in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote our services and foster relationships within Orlando.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance our therapy services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on treating patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and disabilities, including joint replacements, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with a diverse patient population, ensuring that each individual receives personalized care that promotes healing and active participation in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in using word processing and various healthcare software applications.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a rehabilitation or outpatient therapy setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and treatment planning software will be advantageous, as well as prior experience in community engagement and therapeutic program development.

Compensation and Benefits

Atmore Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
