Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, gathering detailed information to assess clients' needs and creating documentation that follows them from initial consultation to treatment completion.

• Design and implement personalized treatment and recovery plans for clients, taking into account their unique circumstances and therapeutic goals.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices to guide discussions and promote healing.
\n
• Continuously monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including other mental health specialists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers to map out and implement comprehensive intervention plans.

• Provide continuity of care by following up with psychiatrists and primary care physicians regarding clients admitted to hospitals or requiring additional care.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and proactively develop strategies to mitigate these challenges.

• Offer guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers, helping them navigate mental health challenges associated with their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client base experiencing varying levels of mental health issues — from anxiety and depression to grief and trauma. The telehealth setting provides a unique opportunity to connect with clients from different backgrounds, allowing for a rich exchange of experiences that can inform treatment approaches. Your role will be essential in ensuring that clients feel understood, safe, and equipped with tools for coping and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Massachusetts.

• A passing score on the NCE and/or NCMHCE.
\n
• Strong proficiency with electronic health record systems, with experience in platforms such as AVATAR being highly advantageous.

• Demonstrated experience working with clients facing mental health issues, including dual diagnoses combining emotional disorders with substance use issues.

Preferred Experience\n

• An in-depth understanding of the interactions between prescribed medications and mental health conditions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We recognize the significance of the work our counselors perform and offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
