Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health by utilizing evidence-based assessment tools.

• Document each case meticulously, tracking progress from the initial consultation through to the completion of the treatment plan.

• Devise tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring a personalized approach to each client's unique circumstances.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques that foster a safe and supportive environment.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers to create cohesive intervention strategies.

• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients in medical settings, ensuring a seamless continuity of care.

• Proactively identify and address behaviors that may hinder recovery, providing clients and their families with strategies to navigate challenges effectively.

• Support families and primary caregivers in managing the mental and behavioral challenges of their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a varied patient population encompassing individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, substance abuse disorders, and relationship issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Massachusetts.

• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a solid foundation in therapeutic practices.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage documentation and enhance client care.

• Experience addressing underlying physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth understanding of the effects of pharmaceuticals prescribed for mental health conditions.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
