Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments for children and adolescents, utilizing standardized assessment tools to create a comprehensive understanding of each child's needs.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that consider developmental levels, individual experiences, and family circumstances, adjusting strategies as needed based on progress.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and play therapy to effectively address conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at supporting the entire family unit, helping them to understand and manage challenges together.
\n
• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care that addresses the multifaceted needs of our young patients.

• Provide crisis intervention during emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and support resources to ensure the immediate safety and well-being of the child.
\n
• Educate families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their care process.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with all ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and case reviews, contributing to ongoing professional development as well as enhancing team collaboration.

• Stay current with best practices, research developments, and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to improve therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents dealing with various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral issues. You will work closely with their families to ensure a supportive and informed network, creating a team-oriented approach to each patient's mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist in New York State.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, accompanied by a child-centered and compassionate approach to care.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems and a working knowledge of therapeutic applications.

• Ability to develop rapport and trust with children and families, recognizing the unique strengths and challenges they present.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, specifically with children and adolescents.

• Experience in delivering both individual and family therapy within a therapeutic context.
\n
• Familiarity with child and adolescent mental health evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges between USD 100,000 and 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
