Work Environment

This full-time position offers 40 scheduled hours per week, with some variable weekend shifts to ensure comprehensive patient care. Our rehabilitation center is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, allowing therapists to utilize a variety of treatment modalities and therapeutic equipment. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to create the optimal healing environment for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to establish individualized treatment plans addressing specific functional limitations and disabilities.
• Implement and monitor prescribed physical therapy interventions, adjusting treatment as necessary based on patient progress and clinical guidance.
• Document patient evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge plans meticulously in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational standards.
• Engage in effective communication with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure a comprehensive understanding of treatment plans and progress expectations.
• Oversee and provide mentorship to assigned support staff, including physical therapy aides and students, fostering a collaborative and educational work environment.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives, promoting the value of physical therapy services and educating residents about injury prevention and wellness.
• Attend regular staff meetings and professional development workshops to maintain competency and stay updated on industry best practices and treatment advancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, stroke rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. You will work with patients of all ages and cultural backgrounds, ensuring that you adapt treatment approaches to meet their individual needs and preferences. Your ability to establish rapport and trust with patients will be critical to their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be maintained.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and treatment planning.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is required, preference will be given to candidates with experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy or a similar rehabilitation setting. Demonstrated expertise in developing innovative treatment plans and mentoring support staff will be considered advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
