Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to gather detailed information about each patient's trauma history, symptoms, and treatment needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address the unique needs of each patient.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients to process trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and foster healing in a supportive environment.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for patients, coordinating treatment plans and addressing any challenges.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and safety planning.

• Educate patients and their family members about trauma and coping mechanisms, offering resources to aid in their understanding and recovery process.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment approaches, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in team meetings and case consultations to enhance collaborative care and stay informed on the latest trends and research in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an essential member of our team, you will primarily work with individuals struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The patients you serve may be facing significant challenges related to their past experiences, and your role will be vital in guiding them toward recovery and empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, exhibiting a compassionate and non-judgmental approach toward patients.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications to manage patient documentation and notes.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working in a mental health or trauma-focused setting.

• Experience delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions, specifically EMDR and TF-CBT.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
