Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Premise Therapy Center, your core responsibilities will encompass:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history, facilitating personalized treatment strategies.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental health improvement.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to help patients process trauma, develop effective coping mechanisms, and foster healing.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care.

• Providing crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate support and appropriate resources are available.

• Educating patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in interdisciplinary case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives focused on trauma-informed care.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• A solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient interaction.

• A calm demeanor in stressful situations, ensuring patients feel supported and understood.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other digital tools essential for remote therapy provision.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we value a track record of delivering trauma-focused therapies and a deep understanding of effective treatment strategies for trauma recovery. Candidates with proven experience in facilitating group therapy sessions and engaging in community outreach may be given preference.
