This full-time position is centered around providing direct mental health services to pregnant and postpartum clients, particularly within the Black community. You will play a pivotal role in a newly developed program aimed at fostering holistic well-being for individuals and families navigating the challenges of childbirth and parenthood.

Work Environment\n

This position is 100% remote, allowing greater flexibility and access for our counselors and clients. You will be part of a dynamic virtual team that collaborates closely with various healthcare practitioners, including prenatal care providers, doulas, midwives, and lactation consultants, ensuring that clients receive integrated and comprehensive care tailored to their cultural and emotional needs. Our approach emphasizes collaboration and knowledge-sharing within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Consult with prenatal care team members, including medical providers and birth workers, to ensure comprehensive integrated care for clients.
\n
• Co-facilitate childbirth education workshops and postpartum peer support groups in collaboration with experienced birth workers.
\n
• Engage in community outreach initiatives aimed at promoting holistic wellness among birthing individuals and their families, contributing to a supportive ‘village’ framework.
\n
• Participate actively in clinical consultation sessions and co-learning opportunities, enhancing knowledge and skills within a multi-disciplinary team.
\n
• Document all clinical interactions and client progress meticulously to adhere to relevant standards and regulations.
\n
• Provide direct mental health services, including behavioral assessments and tailored counseling interventions for clients facing issues associated with maternity and parenthood.
\n
• Conduct case management responsibilities to support client journeys and assist them in accessing necessary resources.
\n
• Fulfill additional tasks as required to support the overall mission and operation of the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on supporting Black birthing families, addressing unique challenges and experiences they encounter during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. This position holds a crucial role in improving client outcomes through culturally sensitive care and advocacy.

Qualifications\n

• A valid mental health counseling license (LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC) is required.

• A master's degree in behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited institution.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with a diverse range of clients and colleagues in multidisciplinary settings.

• A strong capacity for independent work and collaboration, with a readiness to seek assistance when necessary.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
