Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor within our organization, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand the complexities of each client’s trauma history and tailoring personalized treatment strategies accordingly.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and resilience, utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).

• Leading both individual and group therapy sessions, where you will support clients in processing traumatic experiences and developing effective coping strategies.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary professionals to create a holistic approach to client care, ensuring a well-rounded support system for each individual.

• Providing crisis intervention and guidance to clients during trauma-centric emergencies, helping them navigate immediate challenges with expertise and compassion.

• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment interventions, and compliance with ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus primarily on individuals recovering from trauma, including those experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Engaging with these clients requires sensitivity, understanding, and a tailored approach to treatment that recognizes the unique challenges they face.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Hold an active license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona, allowing for the provision of mental health services.

• Exhibit a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with a preference for those experienced in trauma-focused therapies.

• Demonstrate a solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Show evidence of strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and resilience, particularly in high-pressure environments.

• Be proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant software that supports clinical documentation and service delivery.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates who have engaged in specialized training related to trauma therapies or have experience managing a diverse clientele are highly desirable.
