Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments, utilizing a detailed understanding of patients' trauma histories to inform treatment strategies.

• Utilize specific therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), within both individual and group therapy modalities.

• Facilitate therapeutic group sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma experiences and develop practical coping mechanisms.

• Work alongside psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated care approach that meets the comprehensive needs of each patient.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring all patients feel safe and supported in their healing journey.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping strategies, while providing guidance on the resources available to them.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that complies with relevant legal and ethical standards, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date record-keeping.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to stay aligned with best practices in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on individuals facing the challenges of trauma—including those with PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. We strive to create a safe space for these patients, allowing them to express their experiences and emotions freely while developing effective strategies to cope and heal.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Up-to-date knowledge of trauma-related disorders and best practices in trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively, providing reassurance to patients in crises.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly focused on trauma treatment.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications relevant to telehealth services.

Compensation and Benefits\n
