Work Environment

This role is located onsite in our state-of-the-art outpatient office in the vibrant city of Reno. Our facility is designed with both patient comfort and clinical efficacy in mind, featuring modern treatment rooms equipped with the latest therapeutic technologies. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical abilities, including range of motion and functional limitations. This includes comprehensive assessments using various diagnostic tools and methodologies.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that enhance mobility, strength, and reduce pain, ensuring each plan is customized to meet the unique needs of the patient.

• Administer a range of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education strategies, to facilitate optimal recovery.

• Utilize modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and cryotherapy in alignment with evidence-based practices to enhance treatment efficacy.

• Collaborate seamlessly with physicians, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers to create a cohesive approach to patient care, ensuring all aspects of the patient's recovery journey are addressed.

• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, effective home exercise programs, and necessary lifestyle modifications, promoting long-term health and well-being.

• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in compliance with clinic standards and licensing regulations, ensuring the continuity of care and legal requirements are met.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients primarily consist of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and those dealing with chronic musculoskeletal conditions. As part of the team, you will work with a diverse client base, ensuring that each individual receives personalized care that not only addresses their immediate concerns but also focuses on long-term recovery and wellness.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.

• Licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Nevada.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred. However, new graduates with relevant clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.

• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and functional movement assessments is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on patient education and support.

• A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

Experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, specifically in managing post-operative patients and using advanced therapeutic modalities, is highly valued. Familiarity with the latest rehabilitation technologies and methods will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
