Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients’ histories and identify appropriate treatment paths.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, fostering resilience, and promoting mental well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their experiences, build coping strategies, and support their healing journey.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure that all patients receive comprehensive and integrated care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, addressing their immediate needs with empathy and skill.

• Educate patients and their families by explaining trauma responses, offering coping strategies, and connecting them to available resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in standard electronic health record (EHR) systems in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Stay informed on the latest research, best practices, and innovations in the field of trauma therapy to enhance your practice and service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals dealing with trauma-related issues, including PTSD, anxiety disorders, and the long-term effects of complex trauma. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Connecticut.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment practices.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills, showcasing a compassionate and non-judgmental approach toward clients.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfort with various computer applications relevant to therapy and documentation.

• Ability to remain calm and collected in crisis situations, ensuring a safe environment for patients.

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a collaborative approach to mental health care.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, preferably in trauma-focused therapy.
