Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and interviews to evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health status.

• Document treatment processes meticulously, tracking client progress from the point of initial evaluation through intervention to ensure continuity of care.

• Develop personalized, evidence-based treatment and recovery plans that cater to the unique needs of individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to foster a supportive environment for open discussion and healing.

• Regularly monitor and assess treatment efficacy, updating plans as necessary, and providing feedback to clients on their progress.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive client care effectively.

• Identify behaviors that may hinder clients' recovery and implement preventive measures through counseling and intervention.

• Provide resources and support to family members and primary caregivers dealing with clients' mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will directly impact a diverse range of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and counseling theories, along with clinical experience.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.

• Proactive engagement with electronic health record systems, preferably with AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Previous experience counseling clients with diverse mental health and substance use issues.

• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.

• Knowledge of the interactions and effects of medications prescribed by medical specialists.

Compensation and Benefits\n
