Work Environment

This Physical Therapist position is onsite, allowing you to work directly within the community you serve. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of new patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical conditions and understanding their specific needs.

• Utilize and demonstrate effective treatment modalities during home visits, ensuring each patient receives care aimed at improving their mobility and comfort.
• Educate patients and their families on the therapeutic processes and techniques that will support recovery, fostering understanding and compliance.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes, sharing insights and strategies to enhance treatment effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and best practices.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives and represent Texoma Care Physical Therapy at networking events.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be home-bound patients dealing with varying conditions including orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, pediatric cases, and sports-related ailments. Responsiveness to each patient's specific needs will be critical, and your efforts will directly contribute to their recovery journey by implementing research-driven techniques tailored to their individual rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a physical therapy program accredited by the APTA or CAPTE.
• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy is mandatory.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in computer software for reporting and documentation.
• A strong commitment to building rapport with patients to support their rehabilitation efforts.

Preferred Experience

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is preferred.
• State licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably focusing on home care.
• Current CPR certification.
