Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and limitations to establish a baseline for treatment.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic interventions, such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and the use of assistive devices.
• Administer treatments in patients' homes, utilizing a patient-centric approach that respects their unique circumstances and promotes healing in a familiar environment.
• Document patient progress meticulously, ensuring that treatment protocols are adjusted based on ongoing assessments and determined therapeutic goals.
• Educate patients and their families on exercise regimes and proper use of any prescribed assistive devices to enhance mobility and independence.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care, addressing all aspects of a patient's health and rehabilitation process.
• Maintain and improve professional competency through continuous education, participation in workshops, and engagement with professional communities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily caters to a diverse patient demographic, including infants, children, adults, and seniors who are recovering from various conditions such as orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and post-operative rehabilitation. The Physical Therapist will work closely with patients to create a therapeutic alliance that fosters trust and encourages active participation in the healing process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (DPT preferred).
• Current state licensure for Physical Therapy in New Jersey.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and treatment plans to patients and families.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications for documentation and scheduling.
• Flexibility and adaptability to various patient settings and treatment environments.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of relevant physical therapy experience is required, with a preference for home care settings.

• Background in working with pediatric populations or geriatric care is advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
