Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will:

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient, with a strong focus on trauma recovery and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients process their trauma and cultivate effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive, coordinated patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies and offer immediate support.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with tools for recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records (EHR) and documentation according to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing training sessions focused on trauma-informed care best practices.

You will primarily work with individuals suffering from varying degrees of trauma-related conditions, including PTSD and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.

• A strong foundation in trauma-informed care principles, treatment modalities, and resilience-building strategies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient interactions.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly regarding documentation and patient care coordination.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with strong clinical skills and a demonstrated commitment to trauma-focused treatment will be highly considered.
