Work Environment

This position offers a full-time, remote work setting, allowing you the flexibility to manage your schedule while focusing on patient care. Our practice utilizes advanced technology, including electronic health records (EHR) systems, to streamline communication and documentation processes. The standard workweek is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient needs. A competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 per year reflects our commitment to valuing your expertise in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to uncover the unique experiences and needs of each patient, utilizing culturally sensitive methods.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the individual backgrounds and preferences of patients, addressing their comprehensive mental health needs.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions designed to promote resilience, well-being, and personal growth among clients.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure holistic and coordinated treatment for patients.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed, guiding patients through mental health emergencies with a calm and supportive approach.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and available community resources, empowering them with the knowledge necessary to navigate their treatment pathways.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards throughout your practice.
• Participate in regular case conferences and team meetings to enhance collective knowledge and services, along with attending cultural competency training sessions to continuously improve your practice.
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in mental health therapy, incorporating relevant cultural considerations in therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
• A strong foundation in understanding mental health disorders, therapy techniques, and evidence-based treatment approaches tailored to diverse populations.
• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy through culturally inclusive methodologies.
